Common questions
Quick answers before you reach out
Visit your dashboard URL, click Owner Access, then enter your email and your Permanent Secret Key (ptsk_…). The key never expires.
Sign in to your dashboard, go to Settings → Rotate Key. A new ptsk_… key will be emailed to you and the old key becomes invalid immediately.
PastelTrack deduplicates visits using a 30-minute session window per visitor, and filters out bots automatically. Make sure the data-id in your snippet exactly matches your registered domain.
DNS propagation can take 5–30 minutes. Make sure: (1) the record type is TXT, (2) the name/host is @, and (3) the value is copied exactly. Try again after a few minutes.
Yes! Each domain gets its own tracking snippet and dashboard. Repeat the installation process for each site — each domain is verified and managed independently.
